Norinco Motors, a parent company of Beiben (POWERSTAR's OEM), based in China, have been in the manufacturing industry for more than 30 years. As of December 2009, POWERSTAR has an international business partnership with Newco (Norinco Motors), who owns a 78.3% shareholding.
Their shareholders are China North Industries Corporation and Jiangsu Yueda Group, with a total assets base of USD 250 million. Together, they have branches and affiliates in more than 40 countries and are ranked among the foremost of China's 500 largest state-owned enterprises in terms of total assets and revenue.
